The Alpine Rally: a 100 year treasure

Rally historian, Bruce Keys, takes a close look at the history of the Alpine Rally, from the very first running in 1921 through to this year’s 100th anniversary event.

Traditionally, the Alpine Rally has been a supreme contest between man, machine and terrain.

This mantra has existed from the very early years when the reliability of cars was a question mark as to if they would even reach the finish line, let alone worry about speeds or timing!
