The APRC winner that’s still taking titles

One of Australia’s fastest Subaru rally cars is currently sitting in a shed in Newcastle, and it has a history like no other.

Driven by Taylor Gill to victory in the 2022 Australian Rally Championship Production Cup, the 2006 Subaru Impreza WRX Spec C began its life just as successfully in the hands of Victorian Cody Crocker.

With Gill now in Finland preparing for his assault on the six-event 2023 FIA Rally Star series, the car remains dormant in his family garage, with no likelihood of competition in the near future, so what better time to take a look back on its history?
