The Back Room: 2. Graeme Palmer

The Back Room will be a series of responsibly short articles profiling some of the people in rallying – predominately in Victoria – who have contributed for a good time and have excelled at their chosen discipline, but have preferred to do so out of the limelight.

Thus, you might know their names and their faces, but what their background is and their journey through rallying may come as a bit of a surprise.

We will be profiling people from different backgrounds and with different specialities, but all with a common goal – for the love of rallying.

Let’s look at someone who we have all come across at some point, usually before a rally and with his smiling face under the bonnet of your car.

Bruce Keys

Bruce has been involved in rallying for over 40 years. Although a senior administrator with CAMS (Motorsport Australia) for 35 years, he is probably best known for exploits as a motor sport photographer in the 1970s. He was awarded Life Membership of CAMS (Motorsport Australia) in 2011. Bruce is currently semi-retired and lives in Melbourne.
