Having said that, the aforementioned trio aren’t at the top of the WRC standings for no reason, and they may well upset the applecart.
Wet weather is forecast for the rally, and those near the front won't be at as a bad a disadvantage.
Like any WRC rally, the real key will be the opening day, with nearly 80 kilometres of stages to be run twice. Held south of Auckland, around Raglan, they are traditionally loose and slippery, which really goes against those at the front.
