To Burra and back: WA teams’ expensive ‘holiday’

I was 14 hours from home when I got the call that the Rally of the Heartland had been postponed last Tuesday, but there were others way more affected than me.

Think of the organisers for a start. Ivar Stanelis and his team had put months and months of blood, sweat and tears into making the rally the pinnacle of South Australian rallying, only for Mother Nature to rear its head at the worst possible time.
