The Otago Classic Rally has been named New Zealand's "Motorsport Event of the Year" in the annual awards chosen by Autotrader Magazine.
The event, which this year attracted international stars Jimmy McRae, Pasi Hagstrom and Alex Fiorio, won the award ahead of other leading motorsport events, such as Rally New Zealand and the V8 Supercar race at Pukekohe.
The event will run again in April 2007.
