The NSW Bearing Supplies Rally Team of Derek Reynolds and Ray Baker had a tough but rewarding event at this years International Rally of Queensland.

96 competitors started the event, and with this many competitors the roads were going to suffer, and they did.  It was an endurance event and certainly seemed like one for the team.

After a holed radiator on Saturday causing the team to use 8 minutes of late time to fit the new radiator and lost time due to a puncture, the team salvaged 12th for the leg.

Sunday was full of even more dramas with a broken centre mount for the tailshaft only 2km into the first stage and another holed radiator. Derek nursed the car to the first service to try and scrounge some points for the championship.

Managing to get the car to the finish at Imbil after the a tough day, they managed a rewarding points haul, scoring more Premier League points and giving the team the lead in Premier League and 7th in the outright championship.

With the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 5 having a tough event the car will be fully prepped by Dash Sport ready for the next round in South Australia.

The team would like to thank their Sponsors NSW Bearing Supplies, Lake Mountain Ski Hire, Rallyschool.com.au and all the guys at Dash Sport for their help over the weekend.
