After another consistent result at the Henry Lawson trial rally last weekend, the pairing of Guy Tyler and navigator Brendan Warner have moved to the top of the SA Autosport Clubman Series point score.

It was a change of scenery for the new look Henry Lawson event which was held at the recently acquired Tailem Bend Motorsport Park and formed the second round of the Clubman Series. The 2010 competition has adopted equal points for both 4WD and 2WD competitors, which comes as an added incentive to crews in 2WD cars.

“The roads were very rough but loads of fun,” said Tyler, who managed to finish fifth outright and second 2WD, which, combined with his second 2WD placing at the opening round, gave Tyler and Warner the points advantage over their 4WD competitors.

“I never thought we would be in this position, this early in the car’s and our own development, but it goes to show consistency pays off, as well as the importance of finishing,” added Tyler, who now heads to the final round at the Kuipo Forest Rally with a slender lead over closest rival Stephen Mee.

The team would like to thank B&R Autogas and Exhaust and the friends and family that supports the pair. They are also seeking sponsorship for their future rallying campaigns and would greatly appreciate any help they can get. For enquires, contact Guy Tyler via guy-t@hotmail.com
