Victorian rallying is mourning the sudden passing of long-time competitor, team manager and stalwart Bill Orders.
As General Manager of Pedder's Suspension, Bill had been with the company for 45 years, and will be well remembered by those who came into contact with him through not only his business ties, but through rallying as well.
Bill spent many years as Team Manager for his nephews, Mark and Scott Pedder, and was usually found in the service park at rounds of the Australian and Victorian Rally Championships.
In later years his son, Will, was bitten by the rallying bug and has had a successful career in state and national rallying, as well as spending a year driving a rear-wheel drive Nissan in the USA.
Bill was 64 and passed away suddenly on Monday after a suspected heart attack, and is survived by his wife Marilyn, and children Belinda and Will.
