Australian Rally star Eli Evans had his first outing in the Honda Civic Type R and declared himself ready to go for the 2010 ARC championship, which gets under way in Tasmania from February 26 to 28..

On a hot and steamy day at the Broadford Motorsport complex in Victoria, Evans and co-driver Glen Weston completed over 40 laps of the twisty circuit, to dial themselves into the new car.

Evans was pleased with the overall performance of the Civic Type R and made only made minor suspension tweaks throughout the day.

Eli Evans – “Today was very productive and gave Glen and I the chance to familiarise ourselves with the Civic Type R. We played around with a few different things just to see how the car reacts to changes and I feel very comfortable with it. I can’t wait for the chance to show its potential in Tasmania.”
