After a win in the Donnelly River Rally the team wanted a more controlled environment in which to gain technical data on car set up, as well as testing the new control tyres for the series.
“We had a really good test and I feel very confident with the car, more so now than in the last event. The car is really strong everywhere, but it was more a case of establishing a set-up that was going to suit my driving style and make the tyres work better,” commented Watkins.
The team will now start final car preparation for the Quit Forest Rally, which is now only two weeks away.
