Although Rallye Deutschland does not qualify for the R-GT Cup, there will be a Porsche on the event, running as a zero car.
This will be a mid-engined, rear-wheel drive Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport (pictured above), of a type that has been campaigned at club sport level since 2016 and is being developed by Romain Dumas as a concept study for the FIA R-GT category.
Dumas explains it is based on the near-production GT circuit race car, powered by a 385bhp, 3.8-litre flat-six engine.
The vehicle features Porsche dual clutch transmission (PDK) with shift paddles on the steering wheel.

Not stated is the manner in which the company will supply services directly to the championship, or whether the association is more than commercial in nature.
