Wilks, 29, spent the 2010 IRC driving for Skoda UK Motorsport but will transfer to the Belgian Kronos squad for 2011 in place of fellow Briton Kris Meeke, who has completed his two-year stint in the IRC.
"It was a preliminary meeting to meet the team and build relationships with the engineers," said Wilks. "But for me it means the season has already started even though we're four weeks away from Christmas. It's a very good situation to be in but it's now down to my co-driver Phil Pugh and myself to do the best job possible."Â
