Western Racing owner, Wes Ridden, is pleased to announce that a deal has been finalised that will see Darren Windus competeing in the remaining rounds of the 2010 WA Rally Championship in the Western Caravans Toyota Corolla Sportivo Gp N(P).

After securing maximum State points at the recent Quit Forest Rally, Windus will be making an all out effort to win the 2010 WARC, with a view to securing a deal to contest the 2011 Australian Rally Championship.

“With the strength of the Australian Championship and the TV coverage that it receives, we believe that having a leading team in the ARC will help us to expand Western Caravans Australia wide,” Wes Ridden, Director of Western Caravans, said yesterday.

Calling the notes for Windus will be regular Western Racing Co-driver, Ash Ridden, with the Lewana Stages Rally based in Balingup on May 15 being the first outing for the new team. The team will be backed by Groundforce Rentals, Western Caravans, The Caravan Depot and Refit Tyres (GT Radials) with additional support from Neal Bates Motorsport.
