The world's fastest rally drivers have lent their support to the Coffs Coast community as they continue to battle the bushfires this week. Drivers and teams have been donating memorabilia for auctions, as well as visiting the NSW Rural Fire Service operations and mixing with those affected by the fires. Meanwhile, the Chairman of Rally Australia, Andrew Papadopoulos, and WRC drivers Craig Breen, Dani Sordo, Teemu Suninen and Elfyn Evans, presented a cheque for $11,000 to the Red Cross to help care for people affected. Papadopoulos and the WRC crews (below) handed a giant-size cheque to Red Cross representatives Janelle Cazaubon (Regional Manager Northern NSW) and Amanda Flack (Migrant Programs Officer). In some good news for rally and music fans, legendary Australian rock band, Dragon, will perform a free concert to wrap up Rally Australia’s community activities in Coffs Harbour on Saturday night. Organisers have re-located the event concert from Pedders Rally Central service park to C.ex Coffs Club. The concert is for adults only (18 years +) and entry is free. Attendees are encouraged to make a donation to bushfire relief charity Red Cross at the event. Local acts Kailey Pallas and D’Boyzos will support Dragon. C.ex Coffs is at 2-6 Vernon St, Coffs Harbour. Doors will open at 6pm and entry will be limited to 1000 people.
