WRC teams to enter Rally Japan candidate rally

The promoters of the WRC candidate Rally Japan have announced there will be a non-championship test event on November 9-10. The rally will be based again to the east of Nagoya, but covering a wider area. It is intended to provide more pre-WRC training for officials, in the hopes their event will be confirmed in the 2020 WRC calendar. Both Toyota and Hyundai have promised to enter, the former with Takamoto Katsuta (Norihiko’s son) at the wheel. There is no specific news from Hyundai.
