Entries for Wales Rally GB (an amalgamated World Rally Championship and a British Rally Championship event) have been released.
The rally has 17 World Rally Car entries, 23 WRC2 entries and two WRC3 entries. There are a total of 78 entries for the international event, for which 27 are for British Championship competitors.
There had been hopes the expanded facility for admitting Nationally homologated cars would open up the field to many cars not regularly seen on WRC events, but the only noteworthy admitted cars are two Mark 2 Escorts.
Hyundai Motorsport have entered four i20 Coupe WRCs, with Paddon, Neuville and Mikkelsen eligible for championship points, and Sordo in a non-championship entry.
Together with competitors in the separate National event, the total for the two events is over 150 cars.
