A maximum subscription of entries is expected again for this popular event, with entries already coming in for crews looking to take on the challenge of the Oberon roads, with the stages being run over 150km through 11 stages.
Event Director and AMSAG Club President Dave “Fast Eddie” Aitchison, has said “The roads are in excellent condition, we have 5 different stages, each one will challenge the crews in a different way. From fast flowing stages with blind crests to tight twisty stages, it should be a rewarding event for everyone.”
The stages will be similar to the previous two years with slightly different configurations on the stages to allow for an “all weather” event, which will give the organisers the ability to run the full course without amendments should adverse weather conditions occur.
As a special incentive to competitors, there will be a “Dash for Cash” competition with $300 prize money on offer to the fastest Classic & Modern car on one of the stages.
The prize money for the fastest Classic entry has been generously donated by Gary and the crew from Gary’s Motorsport Tyres, and Gerald Schofield of Fibretech Medical Australia has also donated the cash prize for the fastest Modern entry.
With the entry fee set at $295.00, this gives competitors a chance to effectively win back their entry fee for the event.
As always information is available via the AMSAG website. Competitors interested in entering can obtain entry form and supp regs on the website.
