The 2017 MRF Tyress South Australian Rally Championship dates have been set, with a five event series starting in May and finishing in October.

Below are the details of the events as they currently stand:

Round 1: RAA Southern Rally, to be held in and around Second Valley forests and shire roads (including Balquhidder) on Sunday, May 7.  It will be a day event and pace-noted. (Organiser: Southern Districts Car Club)

Round 2: Lightforce Rally of the Heartland, to be held in and around Burra, from June 2 to 4.  The SARC competitors will take part in the evening prologue super special stage on the Friday, and complete the event with a full day of competition on the Saturday.  Entry for the full event is available if competitors wish.  It will be a multi-day event and will NOT be pace-noted. (Organiser: RallyOne)

Round 3: CopyWorld Walky 100, August 12. Based at Robertstown and using the stages in the regions, with the challenging “Roast” stage finishing off the rally.  It will be a day/night event and will be pace-noted. (Organiser: Walkerville All Cars Club)

Round 4: Lightforce Rally of South Australia in and around Mt Pleasant, Mt Crawford forest and environs.  September 15 to 17.  SARC competitors will take part in the event on the Saturday and Sunday, though they can enter the full event if they wish.  It will be a multi-day event and will be pace-noted. (Organiser: RallyOne)

Round 5: South West Stages Rally in and around Heywood, just over the border in Victoria.  It will take place on Saturday, October 7 and will be run through the day and into the evening.  It will be run by the SEAC team in conjunction with the VRC.  Due to distance of the event from the Adelaide GPO being more that 350km, it will have a point loading of 1.5 points per 1 point scored, so will make for a great championship finale.  It will be a day/night event and will NOT be pace-noted. (Organiser: South Eastern Automobile Club)
