The team had not run the car previously, and Kaitler had completed a mere 10 kilometres in the car prior to the event.
The first stage went well with Kaitler taming the lively Evo as the heavens opened up. The car ran well and the team were pleased with their result of seventh outright at the finish of Stage 1. Stage 2 saw their confidence grow and they placed fourth on stage.
By Stage 3, both team members were confident with the car and continued to assert themselves, moving up to third.
At the completion of the event, Kaitler and Kelley were ecstatic to receive the news they had placed equal second in their debut event with the Evo, and were given bottles of champagne to spray on the podium.
