The Focus on Furniture Victorian Rally Championship will see an exciting inclusion for the final three rounds of 2014.
Thanks to Bendigo Tyre Centre a new Pacenoted Series to be known as the Bendigo Tyre Centre Victorian Noted Rally Series has today been announced. This series will be run in conjunction with the Akademos, VRC component of Rally Victoria and Rally Bonnie Doon.
$5,000 total prize money will be offered, split equally between first outright 2WD and first outright 4WD for the series.
All VRC classes & categories will be eligible, as will other invited classes, including Club Cars, G2, Super 1600 & Super 2000.
Organisers hope the inclusion of the invited classes will see bolstered fields for the final rounds of the Focus on Furniture VRC and provide added interest for spectators & also spark interest in some competitors with cars sitting in garages that have not competed for some time.
Naming rights sponsor Scott Nicholls of Bendigo Tyre Centre is excited by the concept and the added interest the series will draw to the Focus on Furniture VRC.
“It simply made sense to support one of the best Championships in the country, and with the final 3 rounds being noted, it gave us the opportunity to support a new mini-series within it. We receive a lot of support from VRC competitors so I felt it was a great opportunity to show support in return,” said Nicholls.
Bendigo Tyre Centre supplies all types of Rally Equipment including brands such as Pirelli, D-Mack, Monit, AlpineStars & Sparco just to name a few. Visit their website at www.bendigotyres.com.au or give the team a call on (03) 5444 1545 for any of your rally needs.
Entry into the series is free on entering a round of the VRC and only requires a tick of the VNRS box on the standard entry form. To be eligible for the Series at least two of the three events must be contested.
Full series regulations including scoring and eligibility are available from vicrally.com.au.
