Bryan Van Eck and co-driver Nigel Bland have taken out the first event on the NSW rally calendar for 2007, the Mini ‘Dulla Rally.

Driving a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 3, the pair took a victory of a minute and a half over the Mitsubishi Galant VR4 of Luke Anderson and Megan Bentley.

In third place was another of the Croker family, Clinton, who, with co-driver Clyde Green, were also the first two-wheel drive car home in their Datsun 180B.

The first clubman competitors to finish were Adam Phillips and Nick Bell, driving a Holden Gemini into fourth place, with the top five being rounded out by Ross and Scott Jackson in a Datsun 1600.

Retirements during the event included Kevin Gavin who broke a trailing arm on his Holden Commodore, and Dave Nightingale, whose Corolla suffered a blown headgasket.
