The team at Ultimate Motorsport Events is proud to welcome Bott Storage Systems as the event naming rights sponsor for round 5 of the Australian Rally Championship. The event will now be known as the 2018 Bott Adelaide Hills Rally, and will run from September 21 to 23. Bott is a global leader in the design and manufacture of in-vehicle and workshop storage equipment. The international Bott Group is represented by Bott Storage Systems in Australia and New Zealand and is proudly manufactured right here in South Australia. Craig Beard, Managing Director says: “The AHR represents a great opportunity to showcase our product range to motorsport fans and the general public alike. "We have recently released a new range of dedicated trade-packs and the rally is a great way of taking the products out of the showroom and into the community.” The Bott Adelaide Hills Rally will be based at Mt. Barker (22km up the freeway from Adelaide) where the service park will be located. The main oval and adjacent showgrounds will host the service park and activations area, including big screen, food vans, bouncy castle and displays. Throughout the event there will be a selection of Bott demonstration vans and utilities on display to see first-hand the quality of the fit-out and superior engineering. Event Director, Andrew Admiraal, said: “I’m so very excited to have a couple of long time rally competitors in David McDonough and Craig Beard supporting the event.” Last year Bott brought the rally legend, Frank Kelly, and his whole family down-under to compete and be a part of a multitude of events in Australia and New Zealand. They have also provided the Paddon Motorsport Hyundai team in NZ with a complete state of the art service fit-out for their support vehicles. “It shows the great culture and is testament to the strength of the rallying community to have successful rally based business people put so much back into the sport by supporting events like the Bott Adelaide Hills Rally." The Bott Adelaide Hills Rally will kick the event off with a bang when it travels down the freeway to the new “The Bend Motorsport Park” where we will use the newly completed Stadium Circuit to run a side-by-side, match-racing Super Special Stage where competitors will thrill the crowd with their skill and precision driving while directly competing against their closest rivals. Saturday will see the crews taking part in stages throughout the Eastern Adelaide Hills Region. The teams will return on three occasions to the service park at the Mt Barker Showgrounds throughout the day. Sunday finds the crews heading to the Mt Crawford Forest in the morning for four stages before returning to the Northern Adelaide Hills for the afternoon stages. Once again, the teams will return on two occasions to the service park at the Mt Barker Showgrounds for the spectators to see the teams go to work on servicing and fixing any problems with the vehicles. The event will conclude with a podium presentation on Sunday afternoon on the Mt Barker Oval where crews, officials and spectators can mingle and chat and enjoy the post event celebrations.
