April date likely for 2012 Otago Rally

Planning for next year’s rally is already well advance, however the final date is subject to official confirmation, and will be confirmed once the date for the Hamilton V8 Supercar round is locked in.

“We expect the event to run on the weekend of April 20-22, although that could still change,” Rally of Otago clerk of course, Norman Oakley said.

This year’s event was the first round of the New Zealand Rally Championship, and also featured 1981 World Rally Champion, Ari Vatanen, in the Otago Classic Rally.
