The RSEA Safety Motorsport Australia Rally Championship’s updated Sporting & Technical Regulations are now available to read.
The revised document features a number of minor changes, most notably the confirmation of the new ARC calendar.
Another noteworthy change includes the potential change to the way the Championship standings will be run, depending on the total number of events taking place in 2020.
Should a fourth round be held in NSW in November – the event is currently still to be confirmed due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation – the overall Championship standings will allow competitors select their best six heat results from any event or combination of events for both the Driver and Co-driver Championships. Any points dropped by a competitor for additional heats competed in will not be re-allocated.
The previously announced ARC2, ARC3, ARC4, J-ARC, M-ARC and ARC Teams Cup classes will remain in place for 2020 as per the below table.

1 Home State Round (1 Event to be nominated by the relevant State Rally Panel), plus the Home State ARC and one other ARC round (for a State with no home State ARC, a second State Round will be counted)
J-ARC (Junior ARC)
All ARC registered competitors UNDER the age of 25 as at the 1 January of the competition year. The competition vehicle must be two-wheel drive and normally aspirated.
Minimum two events – best six heat results count
M-ARC (Masters ARC)
All ARC registered competitors OVER the age of 40 as at the 1st of January of the competition year
Minimum two events – best six heat results count
ARC Teams Cup
All ARC registered competitors, except those who receive manufacturer support.
Teams of 3 Crew nominated before the end of documentation, with the best 2 results to count per event
