Australian rally star Chris Atkinson says that the retirement of Ford driver Marcus Gronholm at the end of the year means that it’s time for him to step up a level in the World Rally Championship.
Atkinson recently re-signed with the Subaru World Rally Team for a further two seasons, and says he’s looking forward to getting behind the wheel of the new Impreza next season.
“For now we will continue to work hard with the current car and continually work to improve it. It is a great team to be a part of and I’m really excited about the next two years, especially now that people like Marcus are retiring. I feel it is time to step-up,” Atkinson said in his exclusive RallySport Magazine column.
