19-year old Citroen Junior Team driver Evgeny Novikov, and his Australian co-driver, Dale Moscatt, collided with a car coming in the opposite direction on a road section in the Buddusò area, during reconnaissance for the Sardinia Rally.
The accident occurred at low speed and no serious injuries were reported. The driver of the other car suffered a small bruise to the arm and after being examined at hospital he was quickly discharged.
Both Novikov and Moscatt were able to continue the reconnaissance.
