Another Aussie co-driver is set to join the World Rally Championship with Chris Murphy to sit alongside English privateer Peter Stephenson in the final round of this year's championship, Rally GB, next weekend.
Murphy, a former co-driver to Eli Evans and Dean Herridge, is hoping to secure a full time WRC co-drivers role and has spent the past couple of months in Europe meeting with various teams and attending events. He will sit alongside the Englishman in a 2006 Ford Focus WRC, an ex-Andreas Mikkelsen car. The rally will be Murphy's first event in a WRCar, and Peter Stephenson's first outing in a Focus WRC, although he has driven other WRCars in the past, and campaigned an MG S2000 at Rally GB last year.
RallySport Magazine wishes Chris all the best for the event and in his quest to secure a full time WRC job.
