Starting on Friday night they’ll be fierce rivals, but last weekend Molly Taylor and Harry Bates were the best of friends.
The pair, together with their respective parents, Coral Taylor and Neal Bates, spent the weekend at Winton watching the new Toyota 86 Racing Series on the north east Victorian country circuit.
Neal Bates’ team have built nine of the 38 Toyota 86s running in the series, and the Bates’ and Taylors were interested onlookers as the cars competing in their first races.
Come Friday, the circuit will be a distant memory for Molly and Harry as they battle for supremacy in round two of the Australian Rally Championship, the National Capital Rally.
