Harry Bates will lead the field at the Rally of the Bay as entries flock in for the first major event post-coronavirus. The reigning Australian Rally Champion is set to lead a top-class field in his Toyota Yaris AP4 alongside brother and teammate, Lewis Bates. Joining them on the start line of the July event will be several other ARC regulars. 2017 national champion, Nathan Quinn, will drive a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X, while the car he is set to drive in the ARC in 2020, a Ford Fiesta Proto, will be driven by Richie Dalton. Dalton has won the event for the past two years running and will be looking to make it three in a row among stiff competition. 2019 Victorian Rally Champion, Arron Windus, will take his retro-liveried Subaru Impreza north to tackle the classic coastal stages for the second year in a row. He and his father, Darren, will both drive as part of the Activ Rallysport team, who will take several cars from their Victorian base.

JJ Hatton's Hyundai will be one to watch at the Rally of the Bay.

JJ Hatton and Troy Dowel will drive their respective G4 Hyundais, while young driver, Taylor Gill, will finally make his debut after waiting since Rally Australia in November to break his rallying duck. The fire-breathing Audi Quattro of Mal Keough will also make a welcome appearance. Further details on the Rally of the Bay will be updated over the coming weeks, as more entries are received.
