For this event the Director, Gwyn Mulholland, has elected to run two sections (the maximum allowed), one being on the allowed maximum distance of 8km, and the other being 7km. These sections flow into each other with only a control between them to meet CAMS requirements.

Competitors travel over the course prior to competition beginning under escorted conditions where they can write pacenotes or just add to instructions to their roadbook. They then attempt three runs of the course in each direction, with their best two runs in each direction being added together to determine the outright and class winners for the day.

Competition starts at 12.15pm and will run into the evening.
