“I’m really impressed with the car,” Batten said. Work to the DMS suspension has improved the handling of the car and, along with Dunlop tyres, Batten feels he has a strong and reliable package.
With the help of AVO Turbo and SBARU Parts, recent upgradeshave also improved the reliability of the engine and running gear.
The Rally Of Canberra won’t be the first event Batten has competed in during the 2007 season. He and co-driver Craig Jones also competed in a Hyundai Excel run in conjunction with Kangan Batman TAFE and currently hold a lead in the NSW Excel series.
“It’s great to be able to spend so much time in the forest and hopefully it will benefit Paul and myself during the ARC rounds,” Jones added.
Due to Batten’s recent success, the Hyundai Motor Car Company has chosen Batten and Jones to compete in the factory-supported Hyundai Genuine Parts Excel for the remaining rounds of the 2007 Season.
