Pakenham Auto Club (PAC) is running the 2011 Berwick Volkswagen Yakkerboo Rally on 2 April 2011 as the opening round of the 2011 Victorian Club Rally Series (VCRS).

The VCRS is a series of rallies run throughout Victoria by different car clubs. Competitors represent their clubs in the much sought after interclub championship while individual outright and class, driver and navigator championships are also closely fought.

The constituent rallies range from fully route-charted drivers events to events with more of a navigational challenge for the crews.

The Berwick Volkswagen Yakkerboo Rally is primarily a driver’s event with some simple map-reading and different ways of presenting instructions to keep the navigator entertained.

Plans for the 2011 Berwick Volkswagen Yakkerboo Rally shows the route split into two divisions:

•    Division 1 has about 35 Km of competitive stages in daylight – commencing at 2pm

•    Division 2 has about 110 Km of competitive stages after dark – commencing at 6:30

Regulations and entry forms should be available soon; for further information contact yakkerboorally@gmail.com or watch www.vicrally.com.au.

The Berwick Volkswagen Yakkerboo Rally is based at Willow Grove Recreation Reserve. Willow Grove is about 15 km north of Trafalgar and about the same distance north-west of Moe. The Lions Club of Willow Grove will have food and drink on sale for competitors, officials, service crews and spectators before the start, during and at the finish of the event.

Spectators can watch the action at two locations (each visited twice) a short drive from the Willow Grove Recreation Reserve. A Spectator Guide will be available shortly before the start of the event.

PAC is delighted to continue its association with the David Nutter group that has supported PAC’s rallies for the past several years. David, a PAC member and one of Victoria’s top rally competitors, has recently opened the doors to Berwick Volkswagen.

Berwick Volkswagen is Victoria's newest Metro Dealer; Specialising in Commercial and Passenger Sales, Service, Parts and Accessories.
