DSA Motorsport driver and team owner Mark Butcher and his crew will be enjoying the creature comforts of a top of the range Britz campervan in their service area. With events in each state and a mix of city and country locations, the Britz campervan will provide a clean and dry place for crew briefings and much earned rest stops for the team – perfect for a recharge in between the high speed stages of each rally.
“Driving our Subaru WRX Rally Car is hot and hard work. The demands of such racing involve an entire team of people, so for our crew it’s going to be a real bonus to have somewhere comfortable and quiet to sit and relax between competitive sections. We are thrilled to have Britz on board this year and can’t wait for our first round in April.” said driver and team owner Mark Butcher.
When not driving rally cars, Mark is the director of driver training company Driver Skills Australia. “As a national company, it was important to us to ensure our sponsors were companies that we could forge a long partnership with, companies that we would be proud to associate our company with” said Mark. Mark was recently involved with working with Britz in creating a Road Safety video that is viewed by all hirers before heading out on their holiday adventure. “For our company and motorsport team, safety is of the utmost important” said Mark. In line with the teams philosophies Mark will be providing road safety presentations to Britz staff as the team travel from state to state. “It’s a great way to introduce Britz team members to our crew and the thrill of motorsport whilst also giving our thanks to Britz for supporting us” Mark said.
“Britz Australia is excited about joining Mark and the DSA Motorsport team in the Australian Rally Championship. Our vehicles are perfect for weekend adventurers and holiday makers and we invite spectators to chat to the team and check out our vehicles at each event. We also have a special ‘Rally’ offer for those who are keen to get away sooner than later.” said Sharron Clark from Britz.
The offer will be announced soon on our webpage, facebook page and information will be available at each event directly from the team.
With the first event only eight weeks away, the team are putting the final touches on a full rebuild of the Subaru WRX. The car has undergone some major servicing and upgrades will feature a new eye catching livery when released at the teams launch in Tasmania in March prior to an official launch at the Galli Estate Winery in Melbourne on April 6.
