This Saturday’s Mt Porepunkah Rallysprint has attracted a capacity field of 30 competitors.

To be held near Bright in North Eastern Victoria, the event will be run over 64km of competitive distance, with a class field in attendance.

Heading the field will be regular Australian Rally Championship competitors Eli Evans and Chris Murphy in their Subaru Impreza WRX, followed by Victorian Champions Justin Dowell and Matt Lee in a Lancer Evo 9.

Young gun Jesse Robison is next in his Impreza WRX, followed by Les Walkden Rallying driver, Brendan Reeves, in a non-turbo Subaru Impreza RS.

Other top-line competitors, including Craig Morris, Brenton Kaitler and Brian Semmens will also tackle the challenging course over Mt Porepunkah.

The event gets under way at 9am on Saturday, September 8, with crews tackling two different pieces of road in both directions during the day.

With fine and sunny weather forecast, the event looks set to be a dry and dusty affair.

The rallysprint is being conducted by the North Eastern Car Club, with Clerk of Course Gary Anstis at the helm.
