Although entries are down a little for the Mt Stuart Sprint Tarmac Rally being run by the Twin Cities Autosports Club inc. this weekend, there will be plenty of action for spectators.

Nevertheless, competitors who have entered are in for a fantastic time on one of the greatest pieces of road in Australia and it is expected that a large following of spectators will be on hand to catch the action.

Local star driver Daniel Callinan will return to try and repeat his winning form of last year with a new navigator, Greg Fitzgerald, in their popular Holden Commodore.

Stuart Titheradge, a new competitor from Maroochydore in South East Queensland, together with his navigator Kim Acworth, will be trying to cause an upset in their Mitsubishi EVO 3.
The car was built in 1995 and was a copy of the World Rally Car driven by Italy’s Andrea Ahgini in the WRC round at Corsica in France and was imported from Japan.

The Twin Cities Auto Club are inviting rally and hillclimb fans to come out and watch the action this weekend and to help make the event a success.

Results will be posted on the club’s website www.tcac.net.au after the event.
