Fresh from their dominant performance at Rally Turkey, Citroen Racing have tested brand new suspension upgrades which could be seen at the next round in Wales. Team boss, Pierre Budar said that while the components have been tested, he's still not sure whether they will be used straight out of the box. “We have some new parts available but we don’t know until we have completed the test whether we will use them," Budar told wrc.com "The work is coming more in the suspension and chassis and could be giving us some additional positive points on the set-up for Wales. “For sure we have to improve the traction and the grip, it’s regarding this. It’s quite a significant step if we use it – it is new homologated parts. Frenchman Eric Camilli has tested the car on multiple occasions, and continues to do development work for the team. He will set up the car for their main drivers, Sebastien Ogier and Esapekka Lappi to save them time on their pre event tests. "Doing it this way, he can try all of the parts and it means the drivers (Ogier and Lappi) don’t lose time on their set-up test trying new and different things,” Budar added. Citroen and Ogier particularly will be looking to continue their strong form in Wales, with the latter winning the event a record five times.
