The heat will be generated by the NSW Rallyschool.com Excel Rally Series competitors (the ‘Cockroaches’) taking on the Batronic Victorian Excel Rally Series competitors (the ‘Mexicans’)!!
The Bega Valley Rally is the only event in which Hyundai Excel competitors from each state can directly contest against each other and the Cockroaches will be issuing a challenge to the Mexicans over the short course and the organisers have allocated trophies for 1st and 2nd outright.
Other awards will include 1st, 2nd and 3rd for the outright winners of the Bega Valley Rally, irrespective of their state of origin.
New South Wales Championship awards will be for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd outright, 1st and 2nd in the Two Wheel Drive category, and 1st in each class in PRC and Group N.
Similar awards will also be made to the EXEDY Victorian Rally Championship, with additional trophies for the best placed Clubman and Novice crew. Allocation of prizemoney provided by EXEDY, totally $500, will be advised in further regulations.
Each of the NSW Excel Rally Series (Short Course) and Victorian Excel Rally Series (Long Course) competitions will attract trophies for 1st and 2nd (if there are five or more starters).
The Shannons Insurance ACT Regional Rally Series competitors will be rewarded with a variety of event awards - 1st, 2nd and 3rd outright, 1st Shannons Insurance Gold Cup, 1st Autotech Services Clubman, 1st Capital Steering and Suspension Novice and 1st Tech Workz Automotive Silver Cup.
Individual awards will be made to 1st HRC, CRC and Other Vehicle/Off Road 4WD outright placings.
And to generate interstate rivalry between NSW, Victoria and ACT all competitors from each of these states will compete for the Bega Valley Rally Interstate Challenge Trophy. The winning state will be the one that accrues the most points on all the special stages that are completed.
