Adrian Coppin will return to the Australian Rally Championship in 2018, after a couple of years’ layoff. Having recently driven a series of front-wheel drive cars, followed by a Toyota Corolla S2000, Coppin is excited about the prospect of a return, in a car yet to be announced.
“The details are still a little under wraps, but I’ll be doing the whole championship, except Rally Australia,” he said.
A vehicle is yet to be announced, but Coppin confirmed to RallySport Magazine that the car will be four-wheel drive and turbocharged. It is expected that it will be of AP4 or R5 specification.

Coppin works as the Sporting and Business Development Manager at Rally Australia, and therefore will be unable to drive the final round of the championship.
Winning some ARC rounds will be the aim for the Queensland based driver, as well as competing in some local, state championship rounds.
Erin Kelly will be gladly welcomed back into the co-driver’s seat, a partnership which has been present on the Australian rally scene for a number of years.

Sponsors, also, will be an exciting announcement for Coppin. “We’re welcoming back some existing partners and some exciting new ones for me and the sport,” he added. A full car and sponsors announcement is expected in January, and will be featured by RallySport Magazine. https://www.instagram.com/p/BcT-udtFQ1M/?taken-by=adrian_coppin https://www.instagram.com/p/Bc1hH6BlL2j/?taken-by=adrian_coppin
