Multiple Australian Rally Champions Cody Crocker and Greg Foletta will return to the series in 2014, driving a brand new Polaris in the SxS Challenge.
Although still unsure on which events he and Polaris will contest, Crocker is looking forward to getting back out into the forest in the open-wheeled machine.
“We’re still deciding on which events we'll do as part of the SxS series. As Polaris is a major sponsor of the championship we'll be there with bells on!” Crocker said.
The Victorian, who has won the ARC three times and the Asia-Pacific Rally Championship on four occasions, says he hopes to contest Western Australia’s Forest Rally, Scouts Rally SA, and Rally Victoria.
“We will debut the 2014 RZR 1000 XP, which is bigger and faster than the previous 900. It’s a completely new model from Polaris.
“We are currently getting a cage made and all the safety bits put in, while mechanically it will be standard, in keeping with the regulations.
Crocker is pleased to once again have Greg Foletta as his “illustrious co-driver”, and is eager for the season ahead to begin.
“Polaris have been a great backer since 2007 and we have a great relationship. It's a vibrant and exciting company to be part of.”
The fight between Crocker and long-time rival, Michael Guest, will be one to watch as Polaris goes head-to-head with fellow SxS manufacturer Can Am.
“Our challenge will be to beat Guesty in his Can Am. Nothing but top spot will do,” Crocker said.
