There’s disappointment for Australian rally fans with news that Scott Pedder is not on the start list for next month’s Rally Australia.
Scott Pedder's exciting driving style will be missed at Rally Australia.Pedder has contested several rounds of this year’s World Rally Championship, but has stated financial constraints as the reason behind not contesting his home WRC event.
“Unfortunately I won't be driving the magnificent roads around the Coffs Coast at Rally Australia this year,” Pedder said.
“The cost to bring the Skoda R5 out from Europe proved too prohibitive, and I was unable to secure a local car. Eyes forward now to WRC2 in 2017.”
Pedder’s regular co-driver, Dale Moscatt, will now contest the event with Mark Pedder, competing in the Australian Rally Championship component of the three-day rally.
Scott Pedder’s omission from the entry list is a small blight on what is otherwise a star-studded field for Rally Australia.
