Dunlop has used the Nelson Rally in New Zealand last weekend to test new specification tyres that may be introduced in 2019.
The tyres were fitted to rally winner Ben Hunt's Subaru WRX, and as our photos show, they generated plenty of interest.
Dunlop are testing new rally tyres ahead of the 2019 rally season.
The specification of the 2019 tyres have not yet been finalised, and the NZ test follows a recent test in Australia, where Warren Lee won a round of the Victorian Rally Championship using new Dunlops.
"I would not like to say too much, except that development is ongoing at the top level," a long-time Dunlop tyre expert told RallySport Magazine.
"“We are heartened by Dunlop’s ongoing commitment to tyre development," he added.
