The 2011 Victorian Rally Championship – now supported by EXEDY – will get under way on May 14th, when the Melbourne University Car Club’s East Gippsland Stages starts in Bairnsdale.

The EGS was introduced to the VRC calendar in 2007 and for the 5th running of the event, support for the series from EXEDY means that entry fees will remain at 2010 levels – despite the increased costs of organising events.

While most of the action will take place on the brilliant forest roads North of Bairnsdale, a very special Shire Road section will be held close to the central Service Park at Lindenow.

Initial planning shows crews will face a total of 140km competitive – split fairly evenly into a daylight heat and a night heat for Championship scoring.

For 2011, a shorter version of the event will be held as Round 2 of the popular VCRS Series – the shorter route meaning competitors – and more importantly the volunteer officials – will not be out in the forest too late.

Supplementary Regulations will be published as soon as they are approved.
