The township of Eildon will come alive on February 18 to the sound of high performance rally cars as a near capacity field of Victoria's best club rally cars and crews assemble for the running of the 2012 Eildon 1600 Classic Rally.
The cars will assemble from 9.00am in Utah Street for a public display followed by a ceremonial start to the event. Competing vehicles will be leaving at 2 minute intervals with the first car heading into the forest at 11.00am.
The Eildon 1600 Classic Rally will cover just under 100km of competition over 7 stages using the best available smooth flowing roads in the the area. This year we introduce 4 new stages, 3 of which are shire roads. Â
Back again also is the nominate your time competition.
Headquarters for the event is the Golden Trout Motel where the post event presentation will be held at 8.30pm.
