Victorian driver, Simon Evans, will make a shock return to the Australian Rally Championship when he contests Subaru Rally Tasmania later this month.
Evans has won the Australian Rally Championship four times (2006, 2007, 2009 and 2010), and has not competed in the series since the end of 2016.
Sitting beside the charismatic former Toyota driver will be Bernie Webb, and between them, they have vast experience to push for competitive stage times.
Entered by Tasmanian rallying legend, Les Walkden and his team, Evans and Webb will drive a Subaru WRX STi.

The Les Walkden Rallying team built and prepared the factory Subaru cars from 2016-2018, before the manufacturer went in a different direction.
Harry Bates will lead the field again in Tasmania, with brother and Toyota teammate, Lewis Bates, seeded sixth. The factory Subaru of Taylor is seeded second, ahead of Simon Evans.
Three R5 cars will tackle the Tasmanian stages, with two making their championship debuts.
Luke Anear (Ford Fiesta R5) and Marcus Walkem (Hyundai i20 R5) will compete in their first ARC rounds in R5 machinery, whilst John O'Dowd will bring his ex-RaceTorque Skoda across from Western Australia.
After initial doubts about him competing on the Apple Isle, Shamrock Motorsport's Richie Dalton will make the trek, once again alongside co-driver Dale Moscatt in his exciting Ford Fiesta Proto.
