After five tough rounds the bulk of the categories comprising the 2014 East Coast Bullbars Australian Rally Championship are still wide open with multiple drivers still eligible for title glory as the Rally Victoria finale beckons.

Of the seven categories only two have so far been put beyond doubt with Neal Bates taking his third consecutive Classics title at the last Round in Coffs Harbour while Bill Monkhouse has claimed the SUV title. With the other five wide open rally.com.au crunches the numbers to see what’s still up for grabs.

Outright
In the outright category, despite Scott Pedder’s 27-point lead, both Brendan Reeves and Adrian Coppin are still in with a mathematical shot at the Championship title.

Reeves has already promised to go for broke, and having seen Pedder hit drama on both days at last year’s Rally Victoria he can be quietly confident that things may well go his way. While Coppin has a longer shot at the title his consistency this year has seen him sitting comfortably in third, and if the front running pair have problems then he can still swoop past to clean up.

4WD National Rally Series
After five Rounds an incredible fourteen drivers are still in with a shot at taking overall honours, and this could well be the category to watch closely during the rally.

Irishman Ritchie Dalton (pictured)  made his first appearance in Coffs Harbour since the season opening Round in Canberra, and currently sits just two points ahead of South Australia flyer Henry Nott. New South Welshman Jay Davidson, who took maximum points in Queensland, sits third ahead of Gerald Schofield in fourth.

Queelander Mike Bailey sits fifth in his Mitsubishi ahead of Tasmanian Marcus Walkem had a stellar first appearance in Coffs Harbour, with Dylan King, Bill Monkhouse, Peter Roberts and Andrew Penny rounding out the top ten.

Still in the running are Peter Dunn, Doug Tostevin, Paul Newman, Ron Moore and lastly John O’Dowd.

Side-by-Side Rally Challenge
With no bonus points on offer at the final Round it will be a straight out fight between Cody Crocker, Nathan Chivers and Michael Guest in the Polaris versus Can-Am battle for supremacy.

With a total of 80 points on offer all three drivers have a realistic shot at holding the trophy aloft when they reach the finish ramp in Victoria.

1600 Cup
Two drivers are vying for the 1600 Cup with both David Wilson from New South Wales and Justin Northage from Queensland entering the previous Round in Coffs Harbour.

With the title eligible for drivers who contest at least two Rounds, if either Wilson or Northage make the trek down for Rally Victoria and finish the rally they will walk away with the silverware.

Kumho Australian Junior Rally Challenge
And lastly in the prize for Australia’s leading junior rally drivers three competitors have so far qualified for the finale in Victoria, with Steve Mackenzie, Guy Tyler and Tom Ryan all in the fight.
The Junior Challenge winner will receive $5,000 prize money, free 2015 ARC outright registration, free entry to Rally Australia 2015, 20 Kumho rally tyres, Pedders Suspension products and services to the value of $2,000 (participating outlets), Compilation video professionally produced by Black Magic and exclusive Rallyschool Day for 2015 sponsorship.

While each qualifier will receive $3,000 from Kumho payable following their start in the final of the KAJRC.
