RallySport Magazine can exclusively reveal photos of Dean Herridge’s Subaru Impreza WRX for this year’s Australian Rally Championship.
Although very similar to his 2006 car, a few new sponsors have been added to the Herridge Subaru, which has major support from the Subaru Dealers of WA, and Highline Tanks.
2006 Australian Champion, Simon Evans, has nominated Herridge as his biggest challenger for the title this year, and after the Subaru stalwart took his first Super Series victory last year, it’s probably an accurate statement.
“Dean showed very good pace on events that he hasn’t usually been strong at,” Evans said on Channel 10 motorsport show, RPM, on Saturday.
Up-speccing his car to 2006 specifications should see Herridge’s pace increase this year, and with Evans driving the same spec Corolla as he did last year, it could be one heck of a battle at this weekend’s Rally Queensland.
