Rally Australia officials remain confident that the WRC will return to Australia in 2020, despite reports in Finland suggesting otherwise.
Finnish magazine, Hanaa, has reported that the Coffs Harbour based event will be one of three rallies dumped from the championship next year.
It reports that Australia, Corsica and Turkey will make way for New Zealand, Japan and Kenya.
The news is just speculation at this stage, and as recently as August 12, Rally Australia were confident of a date for 2020.
"We've got no news year, however we are expecting the announcement of the full calendar in the coming two weeks," Rally Australia's CEO, Darryl Ferris, told RallySport Magazine.
"We've been having good dialogue with the promoter and are looking forward to the calendar announcement shortly."
