Ford Australia still haven’t unveiled their plans for the 2007 Australian Rally Championship season, with a comment of “in the near future” being all they would reveal today.

Ford’s motorsport department have been kept busy with their V8 Supercar program of late, contesting events in Queensland, Tasmania and, in less than two weeks, Bahrain in the Middle East.

RallySport Magazine broke the news of Ford’s likely plans for 2007 before Rally Australia last month, but since then nothing official has been announced by the manufacturer.

It is expected that the team will run a pair of Ford Fiestas built to the new Super 2000 regulations next season, with privateer Darren Windus joining lead driver Michael Guest in a two-car assault on the championship.
