The final round of the 2006 West Australian Clubman rally season is scheduled to run on Saturday, November 25.

Organised by the Light Car Club, the event will take place in and around the outer metro town of Jarrahdale.

The WA Clubman series is open to two-wheel drive only cars. This means that iconic rally cars such as Ford Escorts and Datsun 1600s are on even footing with more contemporary front-wheel drive hot hatch backs.

Teams will contest around 70 competitive kilometres through the forests, spread out over 6 special stages during the rally. The first car is due to start the rally at 12pm and finish around 4pm.

During the event spectators will be able to experience the aural and visual treats of the rally. Two spectator points in the forest will allow onlookers to hear the sounds of naturally aspirated cars in full song slide into view with their tyres battling for grip.

The central service park will also be a chance to get up close to competing cars whilst they are being worked on by their service crews under tough time limits.

Spectator information can be found at the central service park and rally HQ, based out of the old mill site on Jarrahdale Rd in Jarrahdale. Spectating is free.

During the rally, results will be available live online or via free SMS from Duetime. Visit www.duetime.com.au to get more information.

Event regulations and other info is also available from the Light Car Club website: www.lightcarclub.com.au
